it's me, hi, i'm the
artist it's me

artist statement
It wasn’t until I began involving myself more into traditional art that I realized how awakening art as a whole is for me. Ever since, I have learned I enjoy experimenting with many mediums of art. My main area of focus is digital art because I can manipulate the art into what I want. I can always undo mistakes and fix them in ways I am unable to with traditional art. Although I love traditional art as well, I find graphic art extremely therapeutic.
I did not fully discover my passion for graphic art until high school when I learned how to use a program called AutoCAD. AutoCAD is a program for designing items in order to 3D print them. The mechanical engineering class inspired me to learn how to use the Adobe programs. I have have had the opportunity to work alongside the art director at Western New England University, and create flyers to advertise events for the upcoming art shows and other significant events at the Westfield State University campus. This has led me to have a desire for the business world and inspired me even further to strive for my own business. Now that I have my Bachelor in Fine Arts with a concentration in graphic design and illustration, I aspire to one day become a Senior Graphic Designer or Art Director with a company.
I would say my personal technique is quite unique. I find inspiration for my art everywhere. I usually see a photo and that alone triggers the creative process. Suddenly, hours have passed and my art has spiraled into another universe and I have this flamboyant and extremely passionate piece sitting in front of me. When I am creating both digitally and traditionally, I enjoy showing a lot of contrast and I tend to focus on precise blending as well. Some of the things I am the most passionate about are astrology and universal theories which guide my art strongly. A lot of my recent work has been on a program called ProCreate on my iPad. ProCreate allows me to draw in many mediums digitally. I love this medium of work because I am able to expand my experience in art with the way the app manipulates each tool. I have also recently begun experimenting with TikTok shop where I sell bookmarks, stickers, and shirts that I make myself. When designing for sales, I base my creative process on what makes me happy, or, just simply what is trending. Sometimes, the work that makes me happy and satisfies me is work that is unique and something one would not typically find on the web. I tend to get my business booming from social media, preferably TikTok where I even reached almost a million views on one of my art videos.
I aspire to take my experience with different art mediums and use it in the real world to create logos, design websites, and more. I am looking forward to continuing to create my own business where my knowledge will sustain me. I hope to do so with the help of the social media platforms I have developed knowledge on from expressing my passions for art, and those around me who inspire me to continue to learn and grow to be the best designer and artist I can be.
